N- (1,2,5-OXADIAZOL-3-IL) -, N- (1,3,4OXADIAZOL-2-IL) -, N- (TETRAZOL-5-IL) - AND N- (TRIAZOL-5-IL) -ARYL CARBOXYL, HERBICIDE COMPOSITION AND USE OF THE SAME, AS WELL AS A METHOD TO CONTROL UNWANTED PLANTS
description
The invention concerns the technical field of herbicides, in particular, herbicides for the selective control of broadleaf weeds and lawn grasses in useful plant cultures.
WO 2003/010143 A1 and WO 2003/010153 A1 describe N- (tetrazol-5-yl) - and N- (triazol-5-yl) -benzamides and their pharmacological activity. EP 0 049 071 A1 describes Narilbenzamides which have pharmacological activity. In the article by J. Chem. Res. (S) 1991, 11, 304 the compounds 2-methoxy-N-methyl-N- (1Htetrazol-5-yl) -benzamide, 2-hydroxy-N-methyl-N- (1 H- tetrazol-5-yl) -benzamide, 2methoxy-N-methyl-N- (1-methyl-1H-tetrazol-5-yl) -benzamide and 2-methoxy-N- (2-methyl-2Htetrazol-5-yl) -benzamide, which have pharmacological activity.
WO 00/31066 A1 describes N-pyrazolylphenoxynicotinamides or -thionicotinamides which have herbicidal activity. JP 1989009978 (A) describes N-isoxazolylbenzamides which have herbicidal activity. N- (1,2,5-oxadiazol-3-yl) -benzamides, as herbicides, are known from WO 2011/035874 A1. In European patent application EP101748937, which has a earlier priority date but which was not published before the priority date of the present patent application, N- (tetrazol-5yl) - and N- (triazol-5-yl) -benzamides and -nicotinamides particular, as herbicides. However, herbicidal activity and / or plant compatibility of the compounds specified in these publications are not always adequate. The J. Het. Chem. 1972, 9, 107-109 refers to the compound N-methyl-N- (5-phenyl-1,3,4oxadiazol-2-yl) -benzamide. The herbicidal activity of this compound is not described. The compound 3-bromo-4-methoxy-N-methyl-N- (5-phenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl) benzamide is known under CAS number 931735-86-3. The herbicidal activity of this compound is not described.
It is an object of the present invention to provide herbicidally active compounds which have improved properties over those of the compounds described in the prior art.

In formula (I) and in all of the following structural formulas, alkyl radicals having more than two carbon atoms can be straight or branched. Alkyl radicals include, for example, methyl, ethyl, nou iso-propyl, n-, iso-, tert- or 2-butyl, pentyls, hexyls, such as n-hexyl, isohexyl and 1,3-dimethylbutyl. Similarly, as alkenyl, for example, allyl, 1-methylprop-2-ene-1-yl, 2-methylprop-2-ene-1-yl, but-2-ene-1-yl, but3-ene-1-yl, 1-methylbut-3-ene-1-yl and 1-methylbut-2-ene-1-yl. Alkynyl refers, for example, to propargyl, but-2-yn-1-yl, but-3-yn-1-yl, 1-methylbut-3-yn-1-yl. The multiple bond can be in any position of the unsaturated radical. Cycloalkyl refers to a saturated carbocyclic ring system having three to six carbon atoms, for example, cyclopropyl, cyclobutyl, cyclopentyl or cyclohexyl. Similarly, cycloalkenyl means a monocyclic alkenyl group that has three to six carbon members in the ring, for example, cyclopropenyl, cyclobutenyl, cyclopentenyl and cyclohexenyl, where the double bond can be in any position.
Halogen refers to fluorine, chlorine, bromine or iodine.
Heterocyclyl refers to a saturated, semi-saturated or totally unsaturated cyclic radical containing 3 to 6 ring atoms, 1 to 4 of which are selected from the group consisting of oxygen, nitrogen and sulfur, and which can be further melted with a benzo ring. For example, heterocyclyl refers to piperidinyl, pyrrolidinyl, tetrahydrofuranyl, dihydrofuranyl and oxetanyl.
Heteroaryl refers to a cyclic aromatic radical containing 3 to 6 ring atoms, 1 to 4 of which are selected from the group consisting of oxygen, nitrogen and sulfur, and which can be further fused with a benzo ring. For example, heteroaryl refers to benzimidazol-2-yl, furanyl, imidazolyl, isoxazolyl, isothiazolyl, oxazolyl, pyrazinyl, pyrimidinyl, pyridazinyl, pyridinyl, benzisoxazolyl, thiazolyl, pyrrolyl, pyrazolyl, 1,2-thioenyl 1,2,4-oxadiazolyl, 1,2,5-oxadiazolyl, 1,3,4-oxadiazolyl, 1,2,4-triazolyl, 1,2,3

When a group is polysubstituted with radicals, this means that that group is replaced with one or more radicals, the same or different, selected from those mentioned. Similarly, this also applies to the construction of ring systems from several atoms of elements. In this case, it is intended that compounds known to those skilled in the art as chemically unstable under standard conditions are excluded from the scope of the claims.
Depending on the nature and attachment of the substituents, the compounds of formula (I) may be present as stereoisomers. For example, when one or more asymmetric carbon atoms are present, enantiomers and diastereomers can occur. Likewise, stereoisomers can also occur when the symbol n represents 1 (sulfoxides). Stereoisomers can be obtained from mixtures obtained in the preparation by conventional separation methods, for example, by chromatographic separation processes. It is also possible to selectively prepare stereoisomers using stereoselective reactions using optically active starting materials and / or auxiliaries. The invention also concerns all stereoisomers, and mixtures thereof, which are covered by formula (I), but are not specifically defined. Due to the oxime-ether structure, the compounds according to the invention can also be present in the form of geometric isomers (E / Z isomers). the invention also relates to all E / Z isomers, and mixtures thereof, which are covered by formula (I), but are not specifically defined.
The compounds of formula (I) can form salts. Salts can be formed by the action of a base on those compounds of formula (I) which have an acidic hydrogen atom, for example, if the radical R 1 contains a COOH group or a sulfonamide group -NHSO2-. Suitable bases include, for example, organic amines, such as trialkylamines, morpholine, piperidine or pyridine, as well as ammonium hydroxides, carbonates and hydrogen carbonates, alkali metals or alkaline earth metals, in particular sodium and potassium hydroxide , sodium and potassium carbonate and sodium and potassium hydrogen carbonate. These salts are compounds in which hydrogen

Alkylsulfonium and alkylsulfoxonium salts, such as trialkyl (C1 -C4) -sulfonium and trialkyl (C1 -C4) -sulfoxonium salts are also useful.
The compounds of formula (I) can form salts by adding a suitable inorganic or organic acid, for example, mineral acids, for example, HCI, HBr, H2SO4, H3PO4 or HNO3, or organic acids, for example, carboxylic acids , such as formic acid, acetic acid, propionic acid, oxalic acid, lactic acid or salicylic acid, or sulfonic acids, for example, ptoluenesulfonic acid, in a basic group, for example, amino, alkylamino, dialkylamino, piperidine, morpholino or pyridine. Such salts thus contain the conjugated base of the acid as an anion.
The compounds of the invention can be prepared, for example, according to the method shown in scheme 1, by reacting an N- (1,2,5oxadiazol-3-yl) -, N- (1,3,4 -oxadiazol-2-yl) -, N- (tetrazol-5-yl) - or N- (triazol-5-yl) -arylcarboxamide (II) with a compound of formula (III), where the symbol L represents a removable group, for example, chlorine, bromine, iodine, mesyloxy, tosyloxy, trifluoromethylsulfonyloxy, etc .:

The sets of compounds of formula (I) and / or their salts that can be synthesized by the aforementioned reactions can also be prepared in parallel, in which case this can be achieved in a manual, partially automated or fully automated manner. For example, it is possible to automate the course of the reaction, the processing or the purification of the products and / or intermediates. Overall, this intends to designate a procedure as described, for example, by D. Tiebes in Combinatorial Chemistry Synthesis, Analysis, Screening (editor: Günther Jung), Wiley, 1999, on pages 1 to 34.
For the parallelized course of reaction and processing, it is possible to use several commercially available instruments, for example, Calypso reaction blocks from Barnstead International, Dubuque, Iowa 52004-0797, USA or reaction stations from Radleys, Shirehill, Saffron Walden, Essex, CB11 3AZ, England, or MultiPROBE automated workstations from PerkinElmer, Waltham,

Massachusetts 02451, USA. For the parallel purification of the compounds of formula (I) and their salts or intermediates that occur in the course of preparation, as available devices are chromatography devices, for example, from ISCO, Inc., 4700 Superior Street, Lincoln, NE 68504, USA.
The referred devices provide a modular procedure, in which the individual processing steps are automated, although manual operations have to be carried out between the processing steps. This can be overcome by using partially or fully integrated automation systems in which the respective automation modules are operated, for example, by robots. Automation systems of this type can be purchased, for example, from Caliper, Hopkinton, MA 01748, USA.
The implementation of individual or multiple synthesis steps can be supported by the use of cleaning reagents / resins supported on polymers. In the specialized literature, sets of experimental protocols are described, for example, in ChemFiles, Vol. 4, No. 1, PolymerSupported Scavengers and Reagents for Solution-Phase Synthesis (SigmaAldrich).
In addition to the methods described herein, the compounds of formula (I) and their salts can be prepared, in whole or in part, by solid-phase support methods. For this purpose, the individual intermediates or all intermediates in the synthesis or in a synthesis adapted for the corresponding procedure are bonded to a synthetic resin. Synthesis methods supported by solid phase are adequately described in the technical literature, for example, by Barry A. Bunin in “The Combinatorial Index”, Academic Press, 1998 and in Combinatorial Chemistry - Synthesis, Analysis, Screening (editor: Günther Jung), Wiley, 1999. The use of synthesis methods with solid phase support allows different protocols to be carried out, which are known from the literature and which, in turn, can be carried out manually or automated. The reactions can be carried out, for example, using IRORI technology in micro-reactors from Nexus Biosystems, 12140 Community Road, Poway, CA92064, USA.
Solid-phase and liquid-phase procedures of individual or multiple synthesis steps can be supported through the use of microwave technology. In the technical literature, experimental protocol sets are described, for example, in Microwaves in Organic and Medicinal Chemistry (editor C. O. Kappe and A. Stadler), Wiley, 2005.

The preparation by the processes described herein provides compounds of formula (I) and their salts in the form of sets of substances, which are called libraries. The present invention also provides libraries that comprise at least two compounds of formula (I) and their salts.
The compounds of formula (I) according to the invention (and / or their salts), hereinafter also collectively referred to as "compounds according to the invention", have an excellent herbicidal efficacy against a wide spectrum of monocot weed plants and economically important annual dicots. The active ingredients also have good control over perennial weed plants that are difficult to control and that produce shoots from rhizomes, rooted chips and other perennial organs.
Accordingly, the present invention also provides a method for controlling unwanted plants or for regulating plant growth, preferably in plant cultures, in which one or more compounds according to the invention are applied to plants (for example , weed plants, such as monocots or dicots or unwanted crop plants), to seeds (for example, grains, seeds or vegetative propagules such as tubers or bud parts with buds) or to the area in which the plants grow (for example, the area under cultivation). The compounds according to the invention can be applied, for example, before cultivation (if appropriate also by incorporation into the soil), before emergence or after emergence. Specific examples of some representatives of the flora of monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous herbs that can be controlled by the compounds according to the invention include the following, although such enumeration is not intended to be a restriction to particular species:
monocot weed plants of the genus: Aegilops, Agropyron, Agrostis, Alopecurus, Apera, Avena, Brachiaria, Bromus, Cenchrus, Commelina, Cynodon, Cyperus, Dactyloctenium, Digitaria, Echinochloa, Eleocharis, Eleusine, Erochl Heteranthera, Imperata, Ischaemum, Leptochloa, Lolium, Monochoria, Panicum, Paspalum, Phalaris, Phleum, Poa, Rottboellia, Sagittaria, Scirpus, Setaria, Sorghum;
dicotyledonous herbs of the genus: Abutilon, Amaranthus, Ambrosia, Anoda, Anthemis, Aphanes, Artemisia, Atriplex, Bellis, Bidens, Capsella, Carduus, Cassia, Centaurea, Chenopodium, Cirsium, Convolvulus, Datura, Desmodium, Emex, Erysimum, Euopsia , Galinsoga, Galium, Hibiscus, Ipomoea, Kochia,

15/144
Lamium, Lepidium, Lindernia, Matricaria, Mentha, Mercurialis, Mullugo, Myosotis, Papaver, Pharbitis, Plantago, Polygonum, Portulaca, Ranunculus, Raphanus, Rorippa, Rotala, Rumex, Salsola, Senecio, Sesbania, Sida, Sinapis, Solanum, Solanum, Sonan Sphenoclea, Stellaria, Taraxacum, Thlaspi, Trifolium, Urtica, Veronica, Viola, Xanthium.
When the compounds according to the invention are applied to the soil surface before germination, then the emergence of seed shoots is completely prevented or the seeds grow until they reach the cotyledonous stage, then stopping the growth and eventually, after three within four weeks, they die completely.
If the active ingredients are applied post-emergence to the green parts of the plants, then the growth is stopped after treatment and the harmful plants remain in the growth stage of the moment of application, or they die completely after some time, in such a way that the competition for parts of weeds, which is detrimental to crop plants, is thus eliminated very early and in a prolonged way.
Although the compounds according to the invention have an excellent herbicidal activity against monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous herbs, the crop plants of economically important crops, for example, dicotyledonous cultures of the genera Arachis, Beta, Brassica, Cucumis, Cucurbita, Helianthus, Daucus, Glycine , Gossypium, Ipomoea, Lactuca, Linum, Lycopersicon, Nicotiana, Phaseolus, Pisum, Solanum, Vicia, or monocotyledonous cultures of the genera Allium, Ananas, Asparagus, Avena, Hordeum, Oryza, Panicum, Saccharum, Secale, Sorghum, Triticale, Triticum Zea, in particular Zea and Triticum, are damaged only to an insignificant degree or are not damaged at all, depending on the structure of the respective compound according to the invention and its rate of application. It is for this reason that the compounds of the present invention are quite suitable for the selective control of the growth of unwanted plants in crop plants, such as plants useful from an agricultural point of view or ornamental plants.
In addition, the compounds according to the invention (depending on their particular structure and the rate of application used) have remarkable growth-regulating properties in crop plants. These are linked to the metabolism of the plant in a regulatory way, thus being able to be used to control the constituents of the plant and to facilitate the harvest, such as, for example, triggering desiccation and a delay in growth. Furthermore, a
Petition 870180133768, of 9/24/2018, p. 22/165
16/144 in general, they are also suitable to control and inhibit unwanted vegetative growth without destroying plants. Inhibiting vegetative growth plays an important role for many monocot and dicot crops, as, for example, this can reduce or completely prevent lodging.
Due to their herbicidal and plant growth regulation properties, the active ingredients can also be used to control harmful plants in crops of genetically modified plants or plants modified by conventional mutagenesis. In general, transgenic plants are distinguished due to their particularly advantageous properties, for example, resistance to certain pesticides, mainly certain herbicides, resistance to plant diseases or organisms that cause plant diseases, such as certain insects or microorganisms, such as fungi, bacteria or viruses. There are other particular properties that concern, for example, the material harvested in terms of quantity, quality, storage capacity, composition and specific constituents. For example, there are known transgenic plants with a high starch content or with an altered starch quality or with a different fatty acid composition in the harvested material.
With regard to transgenic crops, it is preferable to use the compounds according to the invention in economically important transgenic crops of useful and ornamental plants, for example, cereals, such as wheat, barley, rye, oats, millet / sorghum , rice and maize, or crops of sugar beet, cotton, soy, rapeseed, potatoes, tomatoes, peas and other vegetables. It is preferable to use the compounds according to the invention as herbicides in useful plant cultures that are resistant or that have been made resistant, by recombinant means, to the phytotoxic effects of the herbicides.
It is preferable to use the compounds according to the invention or their salts in economically important transgenic crops of useful and ornamental plants, for example, cereals, such as wheat, barley, rye, oats, millet / sorghum, rice, cassava and corn, or sugar beet, cotton, soy, rapeseed, potatoes, tomatoes, peas and other vegetables. Preferably, the compounds according to the invention can be used as herbicides in useful plant cultures that are resistant or that have been made resistant, by recombinant means, to the phytotoxic effects of the herbicides.
Conventional methods for producing new plants that have

17/144 properties modified compared to plants that occur to date consist, for example, of traditional culture methods and generation of mutants. Alternatively, it is possible to generate new plants with modified properties with the aid of recombinant methods (see, for example, documents EP-A-0221044, EP-A-0131624). For example, many descriptions of:
- recombinant modifications of crop plants for the purpose of modifying the starch synthesized in plants (e.g., WO 92/11376, WO 92/14827, WO 91/19806),
- transgenic crop plants that are resistant to particular herbicides of the glufosinate type (see, for example, EP-A-0242236, EPA-242246) or the glyphosate type (WO 92/00377) or the sulfonyl urea type (documents EP-A-0257993, US-A-5013659),
- transgenic crop plants, for example cotton, with the ability to produce Bacillus thuringiensis toxins (Bt toxins), which make plants resistant to particular pests (documents EP-A-0142924, EP-A-0193259),
- transgenic crop plants with a modified fatty acid composition (WO 91/13972),
- genetically modified crop plants with new constituents or secondary metabolites, for example, new phytoalexins, which provide increased resistance to disease (documents EPA 309862, EPA0464461),
- genetically modified plants with reduced photorespiration that provide higher yields and a higher tolerance to stress (document EPA 0305398),
- transgenic crop plants that produce proteins that are important from a pharmaceutical or diagnostic point of view (“molecular pharmacology”),
- transgenic crop plants that are distinguished by higher yields or better quality,
- transgenic crop plants that are distinguished by a combination, for example, of the new properties mentioned above (“gene stacking”).
There are several techniques of molecular biology through which it is possible to produce new transgenic plants with modified properties that are known in principle; see, for example, I. Potrykus and G. Spangenberg (eds.) Gene Transfer to Plants, Springer Lab Manual (1995), Springer Verlag Berlin, Heidelberg, or Christou, Trends in Plant Science 1 (1996) 423-431.
To carry out such recombinant manipulations, it is possible to introduce
Petition 870180133768, of 9/24/2018, p. 24/165
18/144 nucleic acid molecules that allow mutagenesis or sequence change by recombination of DNA sequences in plasmids. With the aid of conventional methods, it is possible, for example, to perform base exchanges, to remove parts of sequences or to add natural or synthetic sequences. For the joining of DNA fragments together, it is possible to attach adapters or ligators to the fragments; see, e.g., Sambrook et a /., 1989, Molecular Cloning, A Laboratory Manual, 2nd ed. Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press, Cold Spring Harbor, NY; or Winnacker Gene und Klone, VCH Weinheim 2nd edition, 1996.
The production of plant cells with reduced activity of a gene product can be achieved, for example, by expression of at least one suitable antisense RNA or of a sense RNA to obtain a co-suppression effect or by expression of at least one properly constructed ribozyme that specifically cleaves transcripts of the aforementioned gene product. For this purpose, it is possible to use DNA molecules that comprise the entire coding sequence of a gene product including any flanking sequences present or also DNA molecules that comprise parts of the coding sequence, in which case those parts should be sufficiently large. long to produce an antisense effect on cells. The use of DNA sequences that have a high degree of homology with the coding sequences of a gene product, but which are not completely identical to it, is also possible.
When nucleic acid molecules are expressed in plants, the synthesized protein can be located in any compartment of the plant cell. However, to achieve a location in a particular compartment, it is possible, for example, to link the coding region to DNA sequences that guarantee the location in a particular compartment. Such sequences are known to those skilled in the art (see, for example, Braun et a /., EMBO J. 11 (1992), 3219-3227; Wolter et a /., Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 85 (1988 ), 846850; Sonnewald et al., Plant J. 1 (1991), 95-106). Nucleic acid molecules can also be expressed in the organelles of plant cells.
The cells of transgenic plants can be regenerated by known techniques to obtain complete plants. In principle, transgenic plants can be plants of any desired plant species, that is, not only monocotyledonous plants, but also dicotyledonous plants.
Thus, it is possible to obtain transgenic plants whose properties are altered by overexpression, suppression or inhibition of genes or sequences of
Petition 870180133768, of 9/24/2018, p. 25/165
19/144 homologous genes (= natural) or expression of genes or heterologous gene sequences (= exogenous).
Preferably, the compounds of the invention can be used in transgenic cultures that are resistant to growth regulators, for example, dicamba, or to herbicides that inhibit essential plant enzymes, for example, acetolactate synthases (ALS), EPSP synthases, glutamine synthases (GS) or hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxigenases (HPPD), or to herbicides in the group consisting of sulfonyl ureas, glyphosates, glufosinates or benzoylisoxazoles and similar active ingredients.
When using the active ingredients according to the invention in transgenic cultures, not only are the effects against harmful plants observed in other crops, but also, frequently, effects that are specific to the application in the particular transgenic culture, for example, an altered spectrum or specifically extended range of herbs that can be controlled, altered application rates that can be used for application, preferably a good combining ability with herbicides for which the transgenic culture is resistant and influencing the growth and yield of plants of transgenic cultures.
Accordingly, the invention also provides the use of the compounds of the invention as herbicides for the control of weed plants in transgenic crop plants.
The compounds according to the invention can be applied in the form of wettable powders, emulsifiable concentrates, sprayable solutions, dusting products or granules in conventional formulations. Thus, the invention also provides herbicidal and plant growth regulating compositions comprising the compounds according to the invention.
The compounds according to the invention can be formulated in different ways, according to the required biological and / or physicochemical parameters. Examples of possible formulations include: wettable powders (WP), water-soluble powders (SP), water-soluble concentrates, emulsifiable concentrates (EC), emulsions (EW), such as oil-in-water and water-in-oil, spray solutions, suspension concentrates (SC), oil or water based dispersions, oil miscible solutions, capsule suspensions (CS), dusting products (DP), seed coating products , granules for spreading and application to the soil, granules (GR) in the form of microgranules, spray granules, granules

These individual formulation types are known in principle and are described, for example, in: Winnacker-Küchler, Chemische Technologie [Chemical Technology], Volume 7, C. Hanser Verlag Munich, 4th ed. 1986; Wade van Valkenburg, Pesticide Formulations, Marcel Dekker, NY, 1973;
K. Martens, Spray Drying Handbook, 3rd ed. 1979, G. Goodwin Ltd. London.
Necessary formulation aids, such as inert materials, surfactants, solvents and other additives, are also known and are described, for example, in: Watkins, Handbook of Insecticide Dust Diluents and Carriers, 2nd ed., Darland Books, Caldwell NJ, Hv Olphen, Introduction to Clay Colloid Chemistry; 2nd ed., J. Wiley & Sons, N.Y .; C. Marsden, Solvents Guide; 2nd ed., Interscience, N.Y. 1963; McCutcheon's Detergents and Emulsifiers Annual, MC Publ. Inc., N.Y. 1964; Schonfeldt, Grenzflachenaktive Athylenoxidaddukte [Interface-active Ethylene Oxide Adducts], Wiss. Verlagsgesell., Stuttgart 1976; Winnacker-Küchler, Chemische Technologie, volume 7, C. Hanser Verlag Munich, 4th ed. 1986.
Based on these formulations, it is also possible to produce combinations with other pesticide active substances, for example, insecticides, acaricides, herbicides, fungicides and also with phytoprotective agents, fertilizers and / or growth regulators, for example, under the in the form of a finished formulation or in the form of a tank mix. Suitable phytoprotective agents include, for example, mefenpyr-diethyl, cyprosulfamide, isoxadifene-ethyl, cloquintocet-mexyl and dichloromide.
Humectable powders are preparations that can be dispersed evenly in water and, together with the active ingredient, in addition to a diluent or inert substance, they also comprise ionic and / or non-ionic surfactants (wetting agents, dispersants), for example , polyoxyethylated alkylphenols, polyoxyethylated fatty alcohols, polyoxyethylated fatty amines, fatty alcohol polyglycolic ether sulphates, alkane sulphonates, alkyl benzene sulphonates, sodium lignosulphonate, 2,2'-dinaftymethane-6,6'-disulfonate, sodium dibutylnaphthalene sulfonate or sodium oleoylmethyltaurate. To produce humectable powders, the herbicidal active ingredients are finely ground, for example, in conventional appliances, such as hammer mills, fan mills and air jet mills, and, simultaneously or
Petition 870180133768, of 9/24/2018, p. 27/165
21/144 subsequently mixed with the formulation aids.
Emulsifiable concentrates are produced by dissolving the active ingredient in an organic solvent, for example, butanol, cyclohexanone, dimethylformamide, xylene, or hydrocarbons or aromatics with relatively high boiling points or mixtures of organic solvents, with the addition of one or more ionic and / or non-ionic surfactants (emulsifiers). The emulsifiers used can be, for example: calcium alkylarylsulfonates, such as calcium dodecylbenzene sulfonate, or non-ionic emulsifiers, such as polyglycolic fatty acid esters, alkylaryl-polyglycolic ethers, polyglycolic ethers of fatty alcohols, oxide condensation products ethylene propylene oxide, alkyl polyethers, sorbitan esters, for example, sorbitan fatty acid esters, or polyoxyethylene sorbitan esters, for example, polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid esters.
The dusting products are obtained by grinding the active compound with finely distributed solid substances, for example talc, natural clays, such as kaolin, bentonite and pyrophyllite, or diatomaceous earth.
Suspension concentrates can be based on water or oil. They can be prepared, for example, by wet grinding using commercial ball mills and, optionally, together with the addition of surfactants, such as, for example, those already listed above for other types of formulations.
Emulsions, for example, oil-in-water (EW) emulsions, can be produced, for example, by means of agitators, colloidal mills and / or static mixers, using aqueous organic solvents and, optionally, surfactants, such as already listed before, for example, for other types of formulation.
Granules can be prepared by spraying the active ingredient onto an inert granular material capable of adsorption or by applying concentrates of the active ingredient to the surface of carrier substances, such as sand, kaolinites or inert granular materials, using adhesives, for example, alcohol polyvinyl, sodium polyacrylate or mineral oils. Suitable active ingredients can also be granulated according to the conventional method used for the production of fertilizer granules - if desired in the form of a mixture with fertilizers.
Water-dispersible granules are generally prepared by conventional processes, such as spray drying, granulation in

For the production of food granules, fluidized bed granules, extruder granules and spray granules, see, for example, processes in Spray-Drying Handbook, 3rd ed. 1979, G. Goodwin Ltd., London, JE Browning, Agglomeration, Chemical and Engineering 1967, pages 147 ff .; Perry's Chemical Engineer's Handbook, 5th Ed., McGraw-Hill, New York 1973, p. 8-57.
For more details on the formulation of crop protection compositions, see, for example, GC Klingman, Weed Control as a Science, John Wiley and Sons, Inc., New York, 1961, pages 81-96 and JD Freyer, SA Evans, Weed Control Handbook, 5th ed., Blackwell Scientific Publications, Oxford, 1968, pages 101-103.
In general, agrochemical formulations contain 0.1% to 99% by weight and, in particular, 0.1% to 95% by weight of the compounds according to the invention.
In humectable powders, the concentration in active ingredient is, for example, between about 10% and 90% by weight, the remainder up to 100% by weight consisting of conventional formulation components. In the case of emulsifiable concentrates, the concentration of active ingredient is between about 1% and 90% and preferably between 5% and 80% by weight. Formulations in the form of dusting products comprise between 1% and 30% by weight of active ingredient and, preferably, normally between 5% and 20% by weight of active ingredient; sprayable solutions contain between about 0.05% and 80% and preferably between 2% and 50% by weight of active ingredient. In the case of water-dispersible granules, the active ingredient content depends, in part, on whether the active compound is present in the form of a liquid or solid and on which granulation aids, fillers, etc. are used. In water-dispersible granules, the active ingredient content is, for example, between 1% and 95% by weight and preferably between 10% and 80% by weight.
In addition, the aforementioned active ingredient formulations optionally comprise the respective adhesives, wetting agents, dispersants, emulsifiers, penetrants, preservatives, antifreeze agents and solvents, fillers, vehicles and dyes, defoamers, evaporation inhibitors and agents that influence conventional pH and viscosity.

Based on these formulations, it is also possible to produce combinations with other pesticide active substances, for example, insecticides, acaricides, herbicides, fungicides and also with phytoprotective agents, fertilizers and / or growth regulators, for example, under the form of a finished formulation or tank mix.
Combination partners for the compounds according to the invention in mixing formulations or tank mixtures include, for example, known active ingredients based on the inhibition, for example, of acetolactate synthase, acetyl-CoA carboxylase, cellulose synthase, enolpyruvylshiquimate-3-phosphate synthase, glutamine synthetase, p-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxigenase, phytoene desaturase, photosystem I, photosystem II, protoporphyrinogen oxidase, as described, for example, in Weed Research 26 (1986) 441-445 or The Pide manual, 14th edition, the British Crop Protection Council and the Royal Soc. of Chemistry, 2003 and literature cited therein. For application, formulations present in a commercial form are, if appropriate, diluted in a conventional manner, for example, with water, in the case of humectable powders, emulsifiable concentrates, dispersions and water-dispersible granules. Preparations in the form of dusting products, granules for application to the soil or granules for spreading and sprayable solutions are normally no longer diluted with other inert substances before application.
The required application rate for the compounds of formula (I) varies with external conditions, including temperature, humidity and the type of herbicide used. It can vary in wide limits, for example, between 0.001 and 1.0 kg / ha or more of active substance; however, they are preferably between 0.005 and 750 g / ha.

C. Biological examples
1. Pre-emergence herbicidal action against harmful weed plants
Seeds of monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous herb plants and crop plants are placed in wooden fiber pots on sandy soil and covered with soil. The compounds of the invention, formulated in the form of wettable powders (WP) or emulsion concentrates (EC), are then applied to the surface of the covering soil, in the form of an aqueous suspension or emulsion at an application rate of 600 to 800 L / ha water (converted) with the addition of 0.2% wetting agent. After the treatment, the pots are placed in a greenhouse and maintained under good growth conditions for the plants under test. Test plant damage is visually assessed after a 3-week test period by comparison with untreated controls (percentage herbicidal activity (%): 100% action = plants have died, 0% action = same as plants of control). For example, each of the compounds paragraphs A-2, A-3, A-4, A-5, A-6, C-1, C 3 and C-5 for an application rate of 320 g / ha showed an efficiency of at least 80% against Stellaria media and Veronica persica.
2. Post-emergence herbicidal action against harmful weed plants
Seeds of monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous herbs and crop plants are placed in wooden fiber pots on sandy soil, covered with soil and grown in a greenhouse with good growing conditions. Two to three weeks after sowing, the test plants are treated in a single leaf stage. The compounds of the invention, formulated in the form of humectable powders (WP) or emulsion concentrates (EC), are then sprayed on the green parts of the plants, in the form of an aqueous suspension or emulsion at a water application rate. 600 to 800 L / ha (converted) with the addition of 0.2% wetting agent. After leaving the test plants to rest in the greenhouse under
Petition 870180133768, of 9/24/2018, p. 150/165
144/144 optimal growth conditions for about 3 weeks, the action of the formulations is visually evaluated by comparison with untreated controls (herbicidal action in percentage (%): 100% activity = plants have died, 0% activity = control plants). For example, each of the 5 compounds paragraphs A-2, A-3, A-4, A-5, A-6, A-7, C-1, C-3 and C-5 at a rate of application of 80 g / ha, showed an efficiency of at least 80% against Stellaria media and Amaranthus retroflexus.
